Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

That's pretty pathetic that they can't even have a few fart jokes in an anime. Monster Rancher sometimes makes me wonder about censorship in this country. I think censoship may have actually hurt MR...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

I should be worried about that, since I have so MANY video tapes. I've probably got some stuff recorded back in the 80's that wouldn't survive more than a playback or two.Richard Ryley -...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

Yep, I hear ya, C.C. That's why I rarely buy video tapes anymore. DVDs are so much more durable and longer lasting. VHS can be ruined by magnetic waves, moisture, dust, etc. DVDs stand up to the...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

That's why I'm waiting for prices to come down on DVD recorders, so I can transfer my 1980s videotapes (well, really everything I've archived) onto DVDs. It is true I've heard claims that the heat of...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

You can reuse DVD-RW/+RW multiple times... but I would never sugggest putting any video that you value on a RW simply because it can be erased. Stick to DVD-R/+R if you are backing up valuable video...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

I wonder: if someone were to get MR back on the air in the USA, would ADV continue releasing it in DVD? Maybe at least finish releasing Season One?

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

Probably not. Adv usually sells video that hasn't been on air for a while. If Monster Rancher were on air, Adv might not do anything.

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

Are you sure you have your information correct? DVD-R's have to last longer than a few years. I mean, a VHS tape can last as long as twenty years if you really take care of it. If DVD-R discs only...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

I would have to agree with Mothman... if DVD-R's only last a few years, then there will be a lot of angry people in a few years. People with video camera's that record straight to DVD will be at a...

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

I will have to look into that... maybe it was the Dreamcast that could play them. One of the two can do it without a MOD chip because I tried it out myself.

Re: Would any of you actually buy MR DVDs?

#1: It's the DC that can play VCD directly. You do need a VCD boot program but DC can play any VCD CD-R without mod.AFAIK PSX doesn't do VCD without any upgrade. I believe the same for Saturn as...
